The Atlanta Braves have one of the best homes for Spring Training. There are so many awesome attractions in Orlando, that I consider Braves Spring Training to be the ultimate family experience in MLB.
First off, Champion Stadium is a beautiful venue. Secondly, Braves Spring Training tickets are reasonably priced. Then, there are the perks of being in Orlando. You can catch a ballgame and visit Disney World and Universal Studios. Did I mention the great Florida weather? Lastly, the Braves play in Florida’s Grapefruit League and match-up against some of baseball’s most popular teams such as the Cardinals, Tigers, and Yankees.
Often times it can be tough to decide the best games to attend. We’ve highlighted our three best Atlanta Spring Training Games.
Braves vs. Yankees – Wednesday, March 18
Grabbing tickets to this game is always a no brainier. The Braves and Yankees have a rich rivalry. The competition heated up in the 90s as New York edged Atlanta for two World Series.
While well-known players like Derek Jeter and Chipper Jones have retired from the game, this is always one of the most popular games at Champion Stadium. Ticket prices are bit expensive. But Braves fans should have a chance to see superstars like Mark Teixeira and Brian McCann.
Braves vs. Red Sox – Friday, March 27
Boston vs. Atlanta is one the best interleague rivalries in baseball. Even though the clubs aren’t intercity, they have a rich history. The Braves originated from Boston and now it seems whenever the two teams matchup there’s always an intense game.
Last season, Boston swept the Braves in the regular season. But every game came down to the wire. Boston fans will show their pride at this game so I always encourage fans to buy tickets before the game sells-out. Since the game is scheduled for Friday, tickets will sell fast.
Braves vs. Orioles – Saturday, April 4
The Baltimore Orioles are coming off an excellent season. Os fans should be excited to see catcher Matt Wieters return from Tommy John surgery. This Braves and Orioles game is one of my favorites since it is the final Saturday game for Spring Training. The tickets are economical and start as low as $32 for front row seats.
