The Memphis Grizzlies travel to Atlanta for the January 7th game against the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena. These are two of the best teams in the NBA, so this should make for a fantastic game. Check it out as the two powerhouses take the court at 7:30pm on Wednesday!
Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta Hawks are 25-8 and are first in the Southeast Division. This is quite a feat for a team who has had a tumultuous season thus far, due to many factors including the owner, players, and the fact that the team is now up for sale. The Atlanta Hawks have moved past all this however, and become one of the best teams in the league so far. Even the fans are looking past the drama and rumor mill, as game attendance at Philips Arena is up 15 percent and TV ratings are up 40 percent!
The starting lineup of Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll, Paul Milsap and Al Horford will do their best to outscore the Memphis Grizzlies and add another win to the record.
Before facing the Grizzlies, the Hawks will travel to the Los Angeles Clippers this evening, while not as good as the Hawks, have a great record of 23-11.
Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies have a 24-9 record and are first in the Southwest Division. The Grizzlies started on a hot streak at the beginning of the season, but had a bit of a rough patch with a four game losing streak in December. Their most recent defeat was against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. The Grizzlies weren’t playing like a number one team, and lost 85-114.
Luckily for the Grizzlies, they play a flailing New York Knicks before heading to Atlanta to play the Hawks. The Knicks have won just five games this season, and should be an easy opponent for the Grizzlies.
