It’s January, which means cold and gloomy weather. But there are brighter days ahead, and our team at Front Row Seats is counting down the days until Braves pitchers and catchers report to spring training in sunny Florida. On February 20th, spring training begins!
The Atlanta Braves have one of the best spring training venues: Champion Stadium in Kissimmee, Florida. The stadium is part of the ESPN World Wide of Sports at Disney.
Spring training games start in March, so now is the perfect time to start planning a trip to see the Braves, and maybe visit a theme park or two. We have a lot of great tips for Braves fans to make their experience the best one yet!
Choose Your Seats and Games
The Braves have a lot of great opponents during spring training, including the Red Sox and Yankees. Check out the schedule and decide which games you’d like to attend. Games against high profile opponents will sell out quickly, so buy your tickets ahead of time.
Choosing where to sit will depend on what kind of view you want and how much you want to spend.
- Section 108-110 and 114-116 are our favorite seats. They give a great view at an affordable price.
- 200 level tickets are less expensive, so these are great for groups visiting Disney.
- Lawn seats are general admission, and the most inexpensive way to see the game.

Plan Your Trip
The wonderful World of Walt Disney has a lot to offer, but our favorite is definitely baseball. It is important to plan your trip ahead of time. Luckily, the Disney area has plenty of hotel options, shopping and great places to eat as well.
Planning Your Trip to Spring Training
The stadium has many food options to please baseball fans. If you’re looking for burgers, hot dogs and nachos, you won’t be disappointed.
But don’t skip out on the beer. Champion Stadium is a dream come true if you’re a beer lover! The venue offers many craft beers, including a rotating tap from the city the Braves’ opponent represents that game.

Have a Great Experience at Braves Spring Training
Spring training games are exciting because they are intimate way to see baseball and watch your favorite players. Fans also get to enjoy game day entertainment from Disney character appearances, on-field spectator experiences and kids running the bases after the game.
There’s even a chance to get an autograph from your favorite player or coach. The best place to get autographs is outside of the stadium. Between the stadium and practice field #5 is is a great place to try, as well as the Braves’ main backfield before the game. There are also plenty of chances to find spare baseballs around the fields.
So head down to sunny Florida to watch the Atlanta Braves prepare for the regular season. And don’t forget your sunscreen and mouse ears!
