What’s Champion Stadium like?
Champion Stadium is a great venue. It is built like a smaller version of a major league baseball stadium. The venue is one of the largest spring training stadiums, with 9,500 seats available.
Eighty percent of these seats are locate in-between first and third base, offering a vast amount of seats with a great view.
Is there in-game entertainment, like a regular baseball game?
For those who have been to Turner Field and enjoy the Home Depot Tool Race and Ball Cap Shuffle, have no fear! Champion Stadium is sponsored by Disney, so of course there is entertainment! There is an emcee that walks around and quizzes fans with baseball trivia; correct answers earn prizes.
Between innings, a four-piece brass band jumps atop the Braves dugout. There are even a few Disney characters that can be seen roaming around the stadium. After the game, stick around for the fireworks!
Where should I sit?
Read our Advanced Braves Springing Training Seating Guide here. These are the most popular sections.
- Section 108-110 and 114-116 are right behind the home and visitor’s dugouts, and give a great view at an affordable price.
- If you’re looking to sit behind home plate, sections 112-113 are for you.
- For larger groups, the 200 level is great, with less expensive seats available.
- If you’re just looking to get in the door, check out the lawn seats, they are the least expensive.
How much is parking?
Parking is free! This is a great perk you wouldn’t expect from Disney. There is a small paved lot behind the stadium for handicap and early fans, behind that is a grass lot for general parking.
When can I get in the gate?
Gates open three hours prior to the game. It’s a great idea to buy your tickets ahead of time, since the Wide World of Sports Complex gets pretty busy, and the lines can get quite long.
If you arrive at the ballpark early, you’ll have a chance to roam the stadium, possibly find some spare baseballs, and try to grab an autograph from some players.
What’s the food like?
Champion stadium offers traditional baseball fare, such as hotdogs, hamburgers and popcorn. They do have quite a few non-traditional items as well, such as cheesesteaks and brisket sandwiches. The ballpark even specializes in craft beer, featuring a different craft beer each game, based on who the Braves are playing that day. The featured beer comes from the city the opposing team hails from.
