The Atlanta Braves are back! Or they will be, starting on April 10th, when the team plays their first home game of the season at Turner Field. Opening Day is exhilarating, and there are many great reasons to attend the game. But don’t get left outside the gate. Check out these great ways to prepare for Opening Day!
Buy Your Braves Tickets First
It’s always a great idea to purchase your Braves Opening Day tickets ahead of time! Especially for popular games such as Opening Day, Fourth of July, or any game against the Red Sox or Yankees. Waiting until the last minute to purchase your ticket isn’t a great idea for premium games, as the box office usually sell outs, as does the secondary market. Purchasing your seat far in advance is the safest way to go in this scenario.
Plan Parking in Advance
Parking at Turner Field can be rough! Games like Opening Day tend to be very busy and highly attended. Parking lots will start to fill quickly hours before the game, as fans arrive early and tailgate. Be sure to buy your parking pass ahead of time, so your spot is guaranteed, and time isn’t wasted driving around Downtown Atlanta looking for a spot.
Arrive Early to Turner Field
Traffic on Opening Day could quite possibly be a nightmare! Be sure to leave early for the game to account for high traffic. You don’t want to sit in a line of cars waiting to park, while the first pitch has already been thrown!
Arriving early will give fans a chance to find their seats, locate the nearest beer stand and find the closest restroom. There is also a pre-game concert performed by Jonathon Jackson and Enation.
Friday Night Fireworks at The Ted
While many fans like to leave early to avoid post-game traffic, Opening Night is a night to stay! One of the best fireworks shows in the South is offered at Turner Field, and Friday Night Fireworks will occur on Opening Night. Music by the Beatles will be featured, making for a fantastic show!
