4th of July Atlanta Braves Games
After a lengthy amount of road games, the Braves are returning to SunTrust Park for their first ever July 4th game at the new ballpark. The Braves will play the Astros in a battle for a Fourth of July victory!
Braves vs. Astros – Tuesday, July 4 at 7:35 pm
Baseball is America’s favorite past time, so why not spend Independence Day watching a fun game at SunTrust Park? On the fourth, the Braves play a Tuesday night game against the Houston Astros.
Pre-game, the Braves salute our military and honor the troops by unfurling a giant American flag over the field. After the game, enjoy the Southeast’s best fireworks display over the stadium! The show will will feature a beautiful display of pyrotechnics, tuned to patriotic music, that will light up the Atlanta skyline in red, white and blue.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets and parking passes ahead of time, since the Braves Fourth of July game is always very popular!
Braves vs. Astros – Wednesday, July 5 at 7:35 pm
Too busy with BBQ, beer and sparklers on the Fourth of July to make the Braves game? No worries! The Braves will play the Houston Astros again on July 5th.
Don’t miss this game, as it will be the last home game for over a week. The Braves do not return to SunTrust Park until July 14 for a homestand against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs.
July 4th Braves Throwback
On July 4, 1985 played the Braves played an Independence Day game against the New York Mets. This was no normal game!
After a 1.5 hour rain delay, the game finally began. Fans did not realize this would be one of the longest games in Braves history: 19 innings! The game did not end until after 4:00 am, but the Braves still shot off their normal Fourth of July fireworks over Fulton County Stadium, causing many Atlanta residents to call the police!

Atlanta United FC vs. San Jose Earthquakes – Tuesday, July 4 at 7:00 pm
Major League Soccer is quickly becoming a favorite activity in Atlanta! Atlanta United FC has sold out every match at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Additionally, Atlanta United FC have won their past four home games!
Luckily for fans, there is a chance to see this burgeoning team play a July 4th game! Atlanta United FC will take on the San Jose Earthquakes on Tuesday evening. Stick around after the match for a special 4th of July celebration and fireworks display!
