This evening, Atlanta United will face a tough opponent in Sporting KC. Michael Parkhurst, one of Atlanta United’s defenders was quoted: “Now we get ready for Kansas City, and it’s going to be a tough one at home. They’re probably the best team in the West, or one of the best teams in the West.”
While it may not be an easy match, Atlanta has had its share of successes already this season. The team has suffered just one loss and is undefeated at home. Thus far, fans have come out in droves to support the number on team in the Eastern Conference.

- 2:30 PM: Parking lots open! For those with a tailgating parking pass, the party begins!
- 4:30 PM: Molly B’s opens to members. All-inclusive dining and drinks are provided at this upscale tailgating experience for members only.
- 6:00 PM: The gates open! Ticketed fans may enter the stadium.
- 6:00 PM: The team arrives at the Front Porch! Fans will welcome the team and witness the signing of The Golden Spike.
- 6:15 PM: Supports March begins. Supporters march to Mercedes-Benz and enter the stadium via the Front Porch. The March is complete with a drumline and dancing.
- 6:48 PM: Team warm-ups begin; grab your seats early.
- 7:28 PM: The Golden Spike arrives in the stadium, the teams process onto the field, and the national anthem is sung!
- 7:30 PM: Be sure to be in your seat, it’s time for Kickoff!
Matchday in Atlanta: Important Information
Don’t forget these important Matchday announcements:
- The MLK Jr. Bridge between Ted Turner Drive and Forsyth Street will be closed, causing traffic delays. It may be best to take a Lyft or MARTA. For those driving, head to the stadium early and pre-purchase parking!
- The Clear Bag Policy is in effect for all games!
- Alcohol sales end at the 75-minute mark.
