Simmons, was the recipient of the 2013 National League Rawlings Gold Award at shortstop. Fans voted him as the NL’s top defensive player – and he was honored with the Rawlings Platinum Award. He’s a dynamic player whom is drawing comparisons to legendary shortstop, Ozzie Smith.
