The Atlanta Braves and Delta Air Lines have had a tight partnership since the team moved from Milwaukee in 1966. This is fitting as Delta is also based out of Atlanta. Here’s what you need to know about their partnership:
- Delta is the charter air line for the Braves.
- There is currently a Delta Medallion Parking Lot at Turner Field, which will continue when the Braves move to SunTrust Park in 2017.
Delta and the Braves Continue a 50-year Tradition
This morning the team announced that Delta will be the exclusive sponsor of the Delta SKY360 Club at SunTrust Park. The club will be an 18,000 square foot hospitality club. Only two premium sections will have access to the Delta SKY360 Club, totaling about 1,500 seats.
The exclusive club will feature two active display kitchens, a 30-foot marble bar, a casual sports bar, memorabilia displays, and large LED video screens. Delta’s SKY360 Club will be adjacent to the SunTrust Club. The suite will be located on the Field Level at SunTrust Park.
The senior vice president of marketer for Delta, Tim Mapes, had great things to say about the Braves organization, “The Atlanta Braves are precisely the type of winning organization Delta seeks to do business with. For 50 years, we have been proud to support the Braves and their fans throughout Braves country, and that pride will be evident in Delta’s exciting presence at the new SunTrust Park.”
The Atlanta Braves will move to SunTrust Park in 2017, but for now, they will continue play at Turner Field. Those who wish to visit Turner Field before the Braves move on can check out the 2015 Braves schedule.
