Atlanta United FC vs. Orlando City
Atlanta’s newest professional sports team, Atlanta United FC has a new rival, Orlando City FC.
Orlando City’s Major League Soccer team is the closest to Atlanta geographically, creating a healthy rivalry between the two teams. Atlanta United’s next two matches are against Orlando City. The first game is at Orlando City Stadium this Friday, July 21st. Atlanta United hosts the next match at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday, July 29th.
Orlando City is fifth in the Eastern Conference, dropping down in standings after a stretch of losses. Consequently, Atlanta has climbed into fourth in the rankings. Luckily, whoever wins Friday’s match in Orlando will get a chance for redemption as Orlando City travels to Atlanta next weekend.
The two teams have a bit of healthy banter going back and forth in the form of social media jests. Most noteworthy however, is the giant billboard posted in Orlando by Atlanta United FC. The billboard states, “Orlando, We’re Coming to Conquer.”
The massive sign is located about two blocks from Orlando City Stadium. Featuring Atlanta’s red and black colors and some of Atlanta’s top players. It looks like Atlanta United FC is looking to send a message!

Atlanta United FC at Mercedes Benz Stadium
For Atlanta fans, the July 29th home game will be the last soccer match at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Atlanta United FC will then move to their new home, Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Fans have been patiently waiting or this brand new stadium to open.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium features a retractable roof, movable seating, and a giant halo video board!

- 9/10 at 3:30 pm: Atlanta United vs. FC Dallas
- 9/13 at 7:00 pm: Atlanta United vs. New England Revolution
- 9/16 at 4:00 pm: Atlanta United vs. Orlando City SC
- 9/20 at 7:00 pm: Atlanta United vs. LA Galaxy
- 9/23 at 7:00 pm: Atlanta United vs. Montreal Impact
- 9/27 at 7:00 pm: Atlanta United vs. Philadelphia Union
