While it may be cold and snowy in Atlanta, there is a bright spot in the future! As the Atlanta Braves begin Spring Training in Kissimmee, Florida soon! The Braves will head down to sunny Florida in February to prepare for the 2018 season at SunTrust Park. The Braves will play 33 spring training games total. Champion Stadium, the Braves spring training facility, will host 18 of those games. This is also the final year Braves fans can enjoy a ballgame at Disney as the team is moving to a new facility in 2019.

The Atlanta Braves play some exciting opponents that they may not normally meet in the regular season. Additionally, they play some of the old rivals!

Braves Spring Training: Champion Stadium
The Braves Spring Training facility is called Champion Stadium. It is located in the Wide World of Sports complex, which is a Disney World facility. The Braves have trained at Champion Stadium since 1998. The 2018 season will be the last season at this venue. The Braves organization began groundbreaking for a new facility in North Port Florida. Construction is set to be finished by 2019.
Champion Stadium is a fun venue! Not only can fans watch the Braves play, but there are many other perks to the stadium:

- February 13 – Pitchers and catchers report.
- February 18 – Position players report.
- February 23 – First Spring Training game (away game against the Mets).
- February 26 – Spring Training Home Opener at Champion Stadium.
- March 26 – Exhibition Game at SunTrust Park, Braves vs. Yankees.
- March 27 – Exhibition Game at SunTrust Park, Braves vs. Braves Futures.
