It’s Hank Aaron Weekend at Truist Park! Each year, the Atlanta Braves celebrate “Hammerin’ Hank.” Hank Aaron made his Major League Baseball debut with the Milwaukee Braves in 1954. During his tenure with the Braves, Aaron established himself as one of the greatest baseball players of all time. He was known for his incredible hitting, becoming MLB’s all-time home run leader. Hank Aaron was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982, taking his place among baseball’s all-time greats.
The Atlanta Braves organization honored Aaron’s legacy by retiring his number 44 jersey, and he remained an important part of the team’s history and culture. Additionally, Hank Aaron made is mark on society through his philanthropic efforts. This weekend, the Braves honor the legend with several events in his honor. Friday, July 30 at 7:20 PM – Atlanta Braves vs. Milwaukee Brewers
- CMT Summer Concert Series – MacKenzie Porter – Enjoy live music at the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage before the game.
- Friday Night Fireworks – Stay in your seat after the game for an amazing pyrotechnic show tuned to some amazing music.
- Hank Aaron Weekend – Arrive early for a special pregame presentation. Two Hank Aaron Fellos will be recognized, as well as the 2023 Hank Aaron Invitational athletes and the Homers for Hank beneficiaries.
Saturday, July 31 at 7:20 PM – Atlanta Braves vs. Milwaukee Brewers
- Live Music Series – Enjoy live music from Party Nation on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage before the game, starting at 6pm.
- Gate Giveaway – The first 18,500 fans through the gates will receive a Braves Oris Bear Mug
- Cultural Day – The Braves will host the top 44 elite high school baseball players from the Hank Aaron Invitational for a special cultural day.
Sunday, August 1 at 1:30 PM – Atlanta Braves vs. Milwaukee Brewers
- Kids Bobblehead Giveaway – he first 3,000 kids through the gates will receive a “Two Bit” Bobblehead.
- Alumni Sunday – JD Drew and Tim Drew will be signing autographs at 11:30 am at the Georgia Power Pavilion. Autographs are first come first served.
- Kids Run the Bases – After the game, kids 14 & under can run around the bases , just like their favorite Braves players.
- Hank Aaron Invitational – featurs the top 44 high school-aged players from around the United States.
- Atlanta Show Band – Enjoy live music from the Atlanta Show Band at 12:30pm. The music will celebrate Puerto Rico.
- BLOOPER’s Mascot Party – BLOOPER and other mascots will be available for photo ops through the venue. Other team’s mascots include: Wally (Red Sox), Paws (Tigers), Raymond (Rays), Harry Hawk (Hawks), Freddie Falcon (Falcons), Chopper (Stripers).
