The Atlanta Hawks are holding on to their top spot in the NBA. With a 43-11 record, not only do they have the best record in their division, but in the entire NBA. Yet it seems the Hawks have gotten a little sloppy, or perhaps tired. Experts have unfortunately dropped the Hawks in power rankings to #2. Their winning streak was broken on February 2nd by the New Orleans Pelicans. Since then, the Hawks have lost two more games: One against the Memphis Grizzlies and a heartbreaking one-point loss against the Boston Celtics.
Atlanta Hawks Vs. Toronto Raptors
It’s a no brainier that our Atlanta game of the weeks is the Hawks vs. Raptors. The All-Star week may have given the Hawks the break they needed, though four of the five starters were chosen for the East’s All-Star team. For their first game since the February 11th loss to the Celtics, the Hawks will face the Toronto Raptors, a team who has handed them two of their eleven losses so far this season.
The Toronto Raptors aren’t doing so bad for themselves, with a 36-17 record. They have a great three-point game and two-point conversion rate. The Raptors have the number four offense in the league. However, the Raptors’ troubled defense must stand up against the Hawks powerful offense, if they expect to prevail for the third time this season.
Hawks tickets to this popular game are moving quickly. As it’s sure to be an exciting game this Friday. The Raptors want to prove their worth in the NBA, and the Hawks don’t want to be bested for the third time. Check out Atlanta’s game of the week live at Philips Arena, February 20th.
