Music Midtown is back for another year. And this year’s lineup is epic! The concert is Atlanta’s longest running music festival and started in 1994. The event was created to resemble New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and was initially hosted at Peachtree and Tenth Street.
After being forced out of of it’s original location due to construction, the concert was moved to Downtown Atlanta, and then nearby the Atlanta Civic Center. There was a brief hiatus from 2006 – 2011 as expenses were too costly to operate the event. The concert returned with a bang in 2012 – headliners included the Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam. Last year’s festival featured Journey, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and ATL’s own – 2 Chainz.
