Sam Smith is an English singer/songwriter who has only recently risen to fame. His debut album, In the Lonely Hour, was released in May and took the music world by storm. The first two singles were “Lay Me Down” and “Money on My Mind.” The third single off the album took off like wildfire. “Stay With Me” reached number one on the UK charts and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.

When asked, Smith listed his main influences as: Adele, Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. That’s a long list of divas to live up to! It seems that Smith likes big voices, and if you’ve heard him cover Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” you’ll understand why!

Smith with begin his tour on Friday, January 9th at 7:00 pm. Tickets for the show sold out very quickly at the box office, indicating that this will be a full house.
