The grammy award winning alternative rock band Wilco is heading to Atlanta’s Tabernacle for back-to-back night concerts, as they hit up fans with their 2016 Star Wars Tour!
Singer Jeff Tweedy and the rest of his group have performed across the world for over 20 years and last visited the capital of the South in 2011.
Star Wars Tour in Atlanta
Star Wars serves as the band’s ninth album and was released to the public last July, free for fans to listen to and download on their website. This concept in itself may not seem like anything for Millennials in 2016, but this type of offer actually led to Wilco’s most successful release to date back in 2002, with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.
For those who aren’t aware of the group’s history or sound, but are looking for something to do in Atlanta, Wilco’s music is a combination of styles and rhythms pulled together by inspirational artists like The Beatles and Bill Fay.
Although they have steadily introduced more experimental concepts to their collection, including aspects of classic pop and country rock, concert goers can expect an eclectic blend of indie songs that reflect a plethora of genres and generations.

Tour Reviews
Boston, MA
Wilco sounded awesome tonight! Star Wars is one of my favorite Wilco albums and I absolutely loved experiencing it live. They were extremely entertaining and Jeff sounds phenomenal up close and in person!
Favorite moment: The drum solo by Glen
Portland, ME
A prime example for how the venue and the crowd can fuel a bands performance and make it better than what it could have been!
Having seen the group just the night before in Vermont, I can say that the band wasn’t nearly as fun and spirited as they were here. When we saw them in Portland, we had an absolute great time and it was clear from standing right in front that Jeff and the rest of the guys did, as well!
Favorite moment: Them performing “Art of Almost”
Portland, ME
Wilco must love our great state of Maine! They have played here on so many different occasions during their twenty plus year career and each show gets better and better.
This particular performance was just exceptional and the band are clearly in sync with one another!
They played nearly two and a half hours without missing a beat and they all clearly love what they do!
Favorite moment: John Stirrat singing.
Boston, MA
Ive seen Wilco a bunch of times before but its been a few years. They were simply amazing on this night! The band was completely in sync and really let it rip!!
Favorite moment: Their performance of “Impossible Germany”
Cold Slope” at the State Theatre Portland, Maine
