Ah, the first week of November. October is over, we’ve gained an hour and fall is in full swing. All of this also means that we’re in prime event time. Whether you’re looking for folky soul searching, sharp-witted laughs, stunning arrays of talent or a mind-bending musical experience; this week, the Cobb Energy Centre has just the events for you.
- Thursday, November 5th at 8:00 pm: Sufjan Stevens
Hear the folky, soulful sounds of Sufjan Stevens. This Atlanta performance is a stop on Stevens’ expansion of his critically applauded, spring tour in support of his latest album, Carrie & Lowell.
- Friday, November 6th at 8:00 pm: Wanda Sykes
She has performed on both TV and the big screen and has even had her own show. Don’t miss the chance to experience the hilarious and smartly witty stand-up stylings of Wanda Sykes. After all, she’s been called “one of the funniest stand-up comics” by her peers and ranks among Entertainment Weekly’s 25 Funniest People in America for a reason.
- Saturday, November 7th at 8:00 pm: America’s Got Talent
A family must-see, America’s Got Talent Live: The All-Stars Tour! features some of the most beloved performers from the hit NBC variety competition series. This event is part of the talent powerhouse’s first ever all-stars tour. The 42-city tour will include some of the show’s most brilliant and captivating talent, including season eight favorites, comedian Taylor Williamson and comedic hand balancing duo The KriStef Brothers, along with season nine’s powerhouse performer Emily West and the memorable “junk rock” performers from season four, Recycled Percussion. In addition, don’t miss recently added acts, shadow dance duo, Blue Journey, and magician, Smoothini, from season nine.
- Sunday, November 8th at 8:00 pm: Puscifer
Puscifer, who recently announced a new album, Money Shot, have returned to the road.
“As is the Modus Operandi of Puscifer, there will be a whole new show to accompany the Money Shot release. We’ve been leaving a few clues here and there as to what it may entail,” said Keenan. “As usual, we prefer to Show rather than Tell. Odds are if you’ve been a fan of the diverse nature of our performances in the past, you’ll want to go ahead and place those bets.”
The live line-up for the Money Shot tour includes Keenan, Mat Mitchell, Carina Round, Jeff Friedl, Mahsa Zargaran and the newest addition, Paul Barker (Ministry, Lead Into Gold).
