Not sure what to do this weekend in Atlanta? There are some great sports, concerts and winter events coming up! So bundle up and head out to one of our favorite events happening in Atlanta this weekend!
Atlanta Hawks vs. Detroit Pistons
The Hawks will take the court against the Detroit Pistons on Friday, November 21st at 7:30pm. The Hawks have lost just one game this season at home, with a season record of 5-5 so far. The Detroit Pistons have a 3-9 record, so Hawks fans have a fair chance to see yet another home-court win at Philips Arena.
Stevie Wonder
Stevie Wonder will grace the stage of Philips Arena on Saturday, November 22nd at 8pm. Stevie Wonder is a legend, having sold over 100-million albums and producing more than 30 top-ten hits. There are still some great tickets left on the secondary market, but hurry before this once in a lifetime show sells out!
Ice Skating Rink at Centennial Park
What better way to celebrate the coming of winter and chilly weather… than ice skating? The ice skating rink at Centennial Park is one of Atlanta’s favorite rinks, and it opens this weekend! The rink will open on Saturday, November 22nd and stay open through January 19th. So bundle up, bring your mittens and your skates, and head downtown to do some ice skating! Admission is just $12 for a 90-minute session, and skate rental is included if you don’t have your own!
Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park
While we may not get REAL snow until the new year, Stone Mountain has you covered for all your winter wonderland needs. Snow Mountain boasts a 400-foot hill covered with man-made snow, and 20 lanes for snow tubing. Other fun activities such as snow man building and snowball shooting are also available. Snow Mountain opens for the season this Saturday, November 22nd and runs through February 22nd.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Cleveland Browns
The Falcons are number one in the NFC South! That’s right Falcons fans: While the birds haven’t had the most desirable season so far, they are actually on top in their division. Mike Smith has promised a different second half of the season, and it looks like he is making good on his promise, as the Falcons are on a two game winning streak. Next up are the Cleveland Browns at 1:00pm on Sunday. Don’t miss The Falcons play live at the Georgia Dome, as try to keep up their winning streak.
